CLASS  DESCRIPTIONS

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

 

All children must be fully potty trained to attend.

Classroom placement based on age as of Oct. 1st (Kickstart Dec. 1st)

All classes available provided classroom minimums are met.

Honeybee Class - 2.5/3 years old (classroom maximum 10)             

Monday/Wednesday, 8:45-11:45 am ​

Our youngest students are introduced to their first classroom experience in an environment which emphasizes creativity, hands-on experiences, and gaining a sense of self and others. These little ones are exposed to a range of music and movement activities as well as a variety of theme concepts.  
This class will be geared toward 2.5 and young 3 year olds.


Sunbeam Class - 3 years old (classroom maximum 10)

Tuesday/Thursday, 8:45-11:45 am

Our goal for the year is to expose the children to peers of their own age in order to enhance socialization skills through exploration, free play and interest themes. The boys and girls will be introduced to important concepts such as beginning numbers, shapes, colors and expressing individual needs and wants.


Butterfly Class - 3 1/2 years old (classroom maximum 12-14)

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:45-11:45 am   

Tuesday/Thursday, 8:45-11:45 am 

Tuesday/Thursday, 8:45 am-12:45 pm

Over the course of the year this class of older 3s and young 4s will develop self-help skills and participate in a wide variety of play. Academic activities that will support growth in areas such as letter recognition, early math skills, and social-emotional development. 


Rainbow Class - 4/5 years old (classroom maximum 14-16)  

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:45-11:45 am

This pre-kindergarten class prepares your child for his formal years in education by offering a balance of structure and play. Our curriculum is designed to support letter and sound recognition, problem solving, cooperation, fine and gross motor skill development, and much more!


Readiness Rainbows - 4/5 years old (classroom maximum 12)

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 12:15-3:15pm

Designed for children who miss the kindergarten cut-off or would like an extra year to prepare for kindergarten either academically or socially/emotionally. This class will follow the Rainbow curriculum with additional focus on STEM, handwriting, and counting. The afternoon schedule will help prepare kids for the potential of a similiar schedule in Kindergarten and the smaller class size will allow for more personal attention to meet the particular needs of each child.


Kickstart Class - 5 years old (classroom maximum 12)

Monday through Friday - 8:45 am-12:00 pm 

Designed for children who miss the cut-off for kindergarten or who would benefit from an extra year's growth prior to entering a formal kindergarten. Kickstart builds on the skills learned in Pre-K, expanding their understanding of basic math and literacy skills.  Science experiments, cooking projects, art, music and social skills are all a part of the curriculum.
